Lviv is one of the most amazing cities in Ukraine. This is exactly the place where miracles happen and fairy tales turn into reality. A lot of people fall in love with Lviv so much that they stay there. And those who cannot leave their home return to Lviv again and again to wander through the old streets, visit museums, and relax.

in amazing atmospheric establishments and discover Lviv from another new side.

In fact, this city has so many amazing things that it is impossible to see everything even in a week. But don't be discouraged. On the contrary, every trip to Lviv will be a new discovery. And there really is something to discover.

To feel all the energy of Lviv, you should first arrange a walking tour. To do this, just get off at one of the stops located near the Opera House, and move from it along the hundred-meter distance to the Shevchenko monument, and then turn off to Rynok Square. The Lviv Opera House named after Solomiya Krushelnytska is one of the most beautiful in Ukraine. It was built in 1900. Therefore, it is an example of Neo-Renaissance and Neo-Baroque with Art Nouveau elements. Interesting fact: the statue of Glory, which adorns the roof of the theater, was molded from a pregnant model, you can see this if you look closely at it.

After walking along the central Svoboda Avenue, you can go along one of the streets to the left to reach Rynok Square. On this square, once every Sunday, all merchants and shopkeepers gathered to offer their goods to Lviv residents. We even went there from abroad. For example, from Italy. The Italians were bringing their own cheese and wine. By the way, these wines were kept in the cellars of the house owners who lived on the market square, of course, for a fee. It is interesting that most of the houses on the square belonged not to the gentry, but to the merchants. It's just that people from Germany, Italy, Spain, but mostly young guys, came to Lviv, fell in love with the city, with beautiful women from Lviv, stayed there and built their houses. And since they continue to trade, it was convenient for them to place them exactly on Rynok Square, where there are always people, which means there will be demand in the stores located on the ground floor. That is why each house has its own "face" and is an architectural monument. Many of these central stones are home to museums.

Also on the Market Square there is a Town Hall, which can be climbed by paying a ticket at the box office. It is interesting that the Town Hall is the current administration of the mayor, so you should not be surprised if you go up and see local deputies or Mr. Sadovy.

Climbing the Town Hall is not an easy task, because you have to go through hundreds of stairs. And it's worth it. In addition, you can always stop, relax, we especially recommend stopping at the clock mechanism. It is he who launches the clock on the Town Hall and has a very interesting design. The City Hall offers a beautiful view of the city, which is simply breathtaking. Especially for those who are there for the first time. After all, such a huge number of ancient buildings, cathedrals, monumental structures, collected literally on a few square kilometers, is really amazing.

In addition to the Town Hall, there is another interesting attraction - four fountains, which are located in the four corners of the square. Each fountain is decorated with a separate antique statue: Neptune, Amphitrite, Diana and Adonis. It is believed that if you throw a coin into one of these fountains and make a wish, it will certainly come true.

In winter and on holidays, Market Square hosts a festive bazaar, where souvenirs, interesting goods, dishes, mulled wine, grog and Carpathian tea are sold.
