Ethno-park "New Vasyuki" - a place where you can feel like a part of nature
If you love nature, are interested in culture and want to see something new while relaxing in Zatoka, we can offer you to go on an excursion to the ethno-farm "New Vasyuki". Since it is located almost near Odessa, it is better to take an organized excursion from Zatoka. Or rent a car to get to your destination on your own. By the way, the ethno-farm even has a hotel and baths. Therefore, you can spend the night there to even better connect with nature.
As for the attractions and entertainment, now we will briefly tell you about them.
Zoo
In "New Vasyuki" there are two types of zoos. This is, in fact, a contact zoo and "Grandma's compound." Exotic animals live in the contact zoo, which are difficult or impossible to meet in our area: monkeys, ostriches, birds, turtles, deer. All animals are very good, they love people and are ready to give them their warmth. Therefore, this zoo will be interesting for both adults and children. The owners of the zoo believe that it is thanks to such contacts with wildlife that children learn to be kinder, more humane, respect " our smaller brothers ”and never offend them.
And at the "Babushkina Dvor" there are pets that can be stroked and fed. These are rabbits, cockerels, geese, kids, pigs and other animals that can only be seen in the village. It will be very interesting for city children, as well as for adults, to play with them, to look at them, to learn something new.
Ostrich farm
Ostriches are exotic animals for our region, but there are farms on the territory of Ukraine, and one of them is located in this ethno-park. While visiting the farm, you can take many beautiful photos and videos with these special and interesting birds. Also, local guides will tell you about the features of ostriches, how they adapt to life in Ukraine, about their breeding history and other interesting facts about African ostriches. In addition, it is there that you can taste dishes from eggs and meat of these birds.
By the way, on the territory of "New Vasyukov" there is also a public catering - restaurant "Drunken Hata". There is a good environment, but prices are frankly high. For example, mushroom cream soup costs 80 hryvnia, 0.5 liters of regular Poltava beer also costs 80 hryvnia. Therefore, if you do not expect to spend large sums for lunch, it is worth bringing something with you.
Craft village
This is a separate location where blacksmiths, potters, soapmakers work. There you can also learn how to make candles, weave a variety of decorations, make paintings from colored sand and ornaments from rock crystal. Thanks to the use of ancient technologies for the production of various household items, visitors can not only learn something really interesting, but also feel close to their ancestors, better understand our cultural heritage.
And those interested in alcohol production should visit a real traditional distillery to see how our ancestors produced this popular and delicious alcoholic beverage.
Attractions
To prevent children from getting bored when their parents are engaged in what may seem uninteresting to them (for example, visiting a distillery), there are many attractions in the park. These are playgrounds, both modern and made of wood, similar to ancient fortresses, shooting at a shooting range, pony riding, various mazes, quests, tournaments. There are also pools of different sizes on the territory, where foam parties are arranged for children.
Useful information
If you are traveling to the ethno-park in a large group of 18 people or more, you can order additional services such as a set lunch for 100 - 150 hryvnia, herbal tea with buns for 50 hryvnia. Each master class costs 75 hryvnia.
