SHABO Factory Museum - a place where the view on alcoholic beverages changes

If you belong to this particular category of people and have come to rest in Zatoka, we recommend taking an excursion to the SHABO Wine Culture Center. This is a factory for the production of well-known wines and cognacs. And its peculiarity lies in the fact that guests who come on an excursion will be able to see the whole process of making wine or brandy, starting from direct cultivation and ending with tasting ready-made drinks.
Wine Museum
The SHABO Factory Museum is a huge territory, 1200 hectares of which are occupied by vineyards. Museum visitors can see how these or those varieties grow, learn about the peculiarities of their cultivation. The museum works only in summer, because it is during the season that grapes grow, ripen, and alcoholic drinks are made from it. By the way, this factory museum is recognized as the cultural heritage of Europe, so tens of thousands of visitors come there every year. Among them are not only Ukrainians, but also guests of our country.
During the tour, the guide talks about how wine or cognac is made step by step. And, if you wish, at the end you can take part in a professional tasting, during which the sommelier will tell you how to distinguish between wines that have notes inherent in a particular variety and many other interesting little things.
Types of excursions
To visit the museum, you must book one of the excursions. There are six types of excursions. They vary in duration, so they have different prices.
The cheapest and shortest tour is the "Standard". It lasts 1 - 1.5 hours and costs 200 hryvnia per person. During the excursion, the guests of the museum visit the SHABO wine house, where they can see how still wines are produced, see the whole process, from processing to aging. They also visit the cognac house, where they get acquainted with the processes of distillation and aging of cognac spirits. Then the guide leads to the wine museum, to the vineyard and to the cinemas.
If you want to taste wines, then it is worth ordering an excursion "Standard" with tasting, pay an additional 90 hryvnia and at the end of your visit get the opportunity to taste 6 types of products of this plant. This tour will last 2.5 hours.
For those who want to visit the historic sherry cellar, there is a VIP tour. If you choose the option without tasting, then pay 460 hryvnia and the tour takes 2.5 hours. If with tasting - pay 790 hryvnia and spend an hour on the tour. During the tasting, you can taste 6 types of still sparkling wines from the premium collection.
The last two types of excursions are “VIP +” excursions without and with tasting. In the first case, you have to pay 599 hryvnia to get the opportunity to visit, in addition to all of the above, the house of sparkling wines to see how champagne is made. This excursion will last 3 hours. A similar tasting costs 999 hryvnia, lasts 4 hours and will include tasting of 8 still sparkling wines.
Tours are conducted according to the following schedule:
• 10.00;
• 13.00;
• 16.00;
• 18.00.
The museum is located at the village of Shabo, Swiss street, 10.
It is worth remembering that it is strictly forbidden to enter the territory of the museum for persons under 18 years of age, as well as bring pets there.
